Adopt this adorable 12" plush version of "Scarlett" today! The best parrot pal is the one you can cuddle with the most! When you adopt this amazing Cuddlekin by Wild Republic, you are supporting our PARROTT program of Flight Club Foundation.
This plush is the story of "Scarlett the Non-Scarlet" (she's a ruby or hybrid between a greenwing and scarlet) macaw who flew off years ago in Everett WA. Team Flight Club spent days trying to get her to fly down and hours every day training her and her owner, James.
Eventually, with the help of Cat Canopy Rescue of WA (www.catcanopy.org), we got her safely back into James' arms.
Two years later, James called us in trouble with his health. He called up his trusty team and we came to help him until he eventually passed and Scarlett became one of our Foster Birds with hopes to become our outreach parrot. Alas, our flock had other ideas.
Now rehomed at 9 Lives Rescue after we did full veterinary exams and work ups, Scarlett is living a great life with one of many of our partner organizations, 9 Lives Rescue!
So, a portion of our FCF online store sales only will go to 9 Lives Rescue.
We appreciate them holding a bird we so terribly miss in our own flock but has found a great flock to love. Hopefully, this scarlet loves you as much as our Scarlett has loved our team.
"People Helping Parrots, Parrots Helping People." That is the motto of Flight Club Foundation. Our Mission: "To increase awareness of and advocacy for the environment our parrots rely on by uniting communities, improving welfare, supporting conservation, assisting research, creating educational programs, inspiring adults and involving the youngest generations in the changes we need to make."
